Why don't you delete your backlog of features, tasks, or even customers?
One of my most shocking pieces of advice for tech teams that are drowning in work is to archive every task they're keeping track of. After they pick themselves up off the floor, I remind them that all those requests and demands and "requirements" came from someone -- someone who either still cares, and will ask for it again, or who has forgotten all about it. (Most are in the latter category!) Starting from a clean slate ensures they are working on the most important, immediately relevant tasks, and any that are forgotten will quickly generate a reminder. The same is true outside tech too -- for example, salespeople who are chasing no-hope customers should just forget about them and see who phones back. Why not try freeing yourself of those barnacles clinging to you, and see which float up again?
